DUNGEONLAND

Heroes thirsty fame and money, a large very very nasty villain and an army of monstrous minions as foolish and incompetent, a recipe that has been proven and which mocks Dungeonland very nicely in propelling the unforgiving environment amusement parks.

Mixture of Action-RPG side of the Gentiles and tactical / card game in the big ugly not beautiful, this umpteenth game quietly released by Paradox Interactive has more than one trick up his sleeve to stand out from the competition.

JOURNEY INTO THE DAFT

In the classic game mode, simply called adventure Dungeonland could almost go unnoticed: there control a hero proud with two colleagues (or particularly stupid bots) and it oats monster chain in amassing gold, bonuses and so on. Three very traditional classes are available (warrior, mage and thief), the gameplay is simple and effective and the money raised over the victories can buy ridiculous outfits (and completely unnecessary) or new skills. We support a minimum because the game is much more demanding as you might think, we try different specializations of each career (mage cold, fire, lightning, etc.) and enemies are facing or boss all the more stupid than the other. Playable locally or online, it is very mild satisfaction but not necessarily revolutionary in the absolute.

here Dungeonland reveals against any interest, it is with his second game mode, aptly named "DM Mode" playable solo against bots or online against real players. This mode turns Dungeonland real ersatz board game as a very simplified version, sweetened and especially far less expensive Descent: Journey Into the Dark. Once launched, the game always puts on stage three adventurers ready to fight, but also and especially a fourth player: the evil Dungeon Maestro. This role provides a completely different gameplay as one moves from the Action-RPG tactics / card game with an arsenal of monsters out at the right time and place, a gauge of mana does not deplete too fast, a able to control possession of any of our flock, etc., etc.. Just as adventurers, the DM reap gold throughout the game, just to be able to afford new cards between rounds, thereby enriching its arsenal of monsters, spells and other traps. Better yet, the Dungeon Maestro has a "laugh" button, which does absolutely nothing except to guffaw greedily when players from opposing camp has just bitten the dust.

YOU'RE ON MY CARD TRAP!

Dungeonland - ScreenshotC'est course through this game mode Dungeonland reveals its salt, the hero to show real support to defeat the treacherous traps of their human opponent, who will seek him to generate energy to invoke evil super big boss. The arsenal of Dungeon Maestro card is particularly disingenuous, allowing it including a walled hero to isolate him from his friends, to show a circle of enemies around a target, freeze an adventurer on site ( randomly in the middle of a minefield), well short of rotting life everyone. The atmosphere of the game reinforces the board game side with decorations, themes, monsters and replicas rich in references that will delight lovers of this very expensive hobby. The intentionally stupid humor is the bestiary composed of bodybuilders and obese dragons ducks led by a Dungeon Maestro threatening to upload our pitiful efforts on YouTube. Good child.

A particularly nice idea, by lack Dungeonland against some content. Its mode of the game more interesting recycles much the same decor, the bestiary is not fast enough explored as well supplied, same side special cards for Dungeon Maestro or abilities for heroes. At this price (less than 10 €), you can not really blame the game to be too cheap, especially when used to Paradox Interactive feeding its multiplayer games with free content after exit knows if successful. The prolific publisher and often bold Swedish publisher sin against by always much on the technical side: Dungeonland thus parasitized by a number of bugs (minor for most), often suffers from lag due to an archaic lobby n ' does not indicate the same ping of the players when they are not pure and simple disconnections that keep coming. The updates will surely not fail to happen, but this kind of finish can easily destroy the community a multiplayer game before it has time to actually form ...
