ALIENS COLONIAL MARINES



Like many other film adaptations before it, the Alien series has not always been lucky in video games. Apart from two Aliens vs. Predator a little better than average (SPF ... and beat 'em all), it left little videogame memories away from the series have enjoyed the movies.

Always ready to meet such challenges, the Gearbox studio has been working since 2006 to develop a title meant stop the curse, Aliens Colonial Marines. Because a video game perspective, Aliens Colonial Marines is a complete debacle, such a lousy game that is still struggling to believe its release on the market. The first shock is visual: faded textures, modeling trowel characters and sets, lighting worthy of the darkest hours of the Polish FPS, the title has the trappings of a FPS of 2005 and the very low activities further strengthens this feeling with aliens flapping like sprites uncouth to our approach, and marine waddled like geese at least sprint. In short, it is far from the technical minimum expected for a game of this caliber.

Worse, the gameplay turns a confusing mediocrity. Still spend random precision almost all Gun, also present in much lower numbers (only half a dozen in the standard version), if not a great "realism" in the twenty-second century, this at least the merit of offset somewhat AI pathetic enemies. But the appalling pace of fighting and the absence of any feedback from the game when you touch or when you are affected, makes fighting a soporific softness. And this is unfortunate, since it is virtually the only occupation that we offer the solo campaign.
